​ABOUT US

Growing up in Southern Africa in the 1990s and experiencing the devastating impact that poverty and HIV & AIDS had in his country and in surrounding nations, Rassel Chisango (RYO President and CEO) answered God`s call to serve humanity and founded a community-based organization, Royal Youth Organisation (RYO) whilst he was still a teenager.  Holding two Master of Business degrees including Management (Distinction), Rassel leads the global and grassroots RYO mission from his Brisbane base along with a growing team of sector enthusiasts, specialists, academics and professionals. Since establishment in Africa in the early 2000s, the main aim of RYO was to strengthen the capacity of communities and individuals to stand up to deprivation and poverty and motivate and support young people to live out their lives to their full potential, and see the emergence of a generation free from HIV, substance abuse and poverty.
